9- week course will commence on Thursday 15th January 2026.

This course provides a unique opportunity to dip into this beautiful ancient technique. Throughout the 9-weeks you will construct a traditional gesso panel, choose an image from history or mythology to work from, learn to gild and create your own painting using natural pigments and egg emulsion. No experience is necessary. Students are required to bring their own palette and selection of sable brushes; all other materials will be supplied.
